Do I need this NFT to play MageTCG or gain an advantage?
No. You do not need the NFT to play MageTCG, and it provides no gameplay advantage. The NFT is an optional digital collectible with member-style benefits that deepen your participation in the MageTCG universe.
Does owning the NFT guarantee it will increase in value?
There are no guarantees, but value growth is absolutely possible and intentionally pursued. MageTCG is actively building a living universe across games, books, art, and future media to make these characters known, meaningful, and in demand. As the brand grows, characters appear in canon and on-chain traits and metadata may become more desirable, which can influence long-term value. Our focus is on creating lasting IP—not short-term hype—so value comes from recognition, relevance, and demand over time, shaped by the continued success of the universe we’re building together.
Why do you ask for a wallet address, and is it safe to share?
A wallet address is simply a public destination—like an email address for digital items—that allows us to deliver your NFT to you. It does not give us access to your wallet, your funds, or anything inside it, and it cannot be used to move assets or make changes. We only use your wallet address to send your character NFT, and your email is used solely for program communication. We do not sell or share your information, and your data is kept private and secure.

Can I create more than one character?
Yes. You may own multiple NFTs and create multiple characters. Some benefits do not stack, but each character remains unique and eligible for canon participation. This is optional and entirely up to you.
What does the 15% lifetime discount apply to?
The discount applies to eligible products sold directly through MageTCG’s ecommerce platform, including merchandise and limited surplus product releases announced after print runs.
What does the discount NOT apply to?
The discount does not apply to purchases made through local game stores, retailers, or wholesale partners. MageTCG is a retail-first brand, and most product will always be sold through LGSs to support the IRL gaming community.
Will NFTs be the only way to access these loyalty benefits?
No. The NFT program is the first way we’re offering these loyalty-style benefits, but it may not be the only one. In the future, we may introduce an off-chain, recurring subscription option that provides similar benefits without requiring an NFT. The Character NFT, however, represents a permanent, one-time entry tied to identity and long-term participation, while any future subscription would be time-based and separate.
What is a whitelist wave?
A whitelist wave is a limited application window where you can apply to create a character and purchase its 1:1 NFT. Waves allow us to manage artwork, profiles, and lore inclusion carefully so every character meets our quality standards.
How often do whitelist waves happen?
We currently plan to run four waves per year, roughly one per quarter. This cadence may continue as the brand grows.
What rights do I have to my character and artwork?
You are permanently credited as the character’s creator and may use the character and artwork for personal, non-commercial purposes (sharing, personal projects, fan stories, displays). Commercial use, licensing, or official canon decisions require written approval to protect the universe.
Is this the same as other NFT projects that failed?
No. MageTCG is a complete, playable game with an active community, retail partners, and finished lore. The NFT does not fund development—it sits on top of something that already exists.
What if I don’t understand crypto or Web3?
That’s okay. You don’t need to be “into NFTs” to participate. We provide clear instructions and support, and the NFT functions like a digital membership and collectible.
Can I sell my NFT later if I need to?
Yes. NFTs can be transferred or sold on supported marketplaces. While we hope people hold onto their characters, we understand real life happens.
Will there ever be more utility added later?
The core utility is fixed and consistent across all NFTs. Any future additions will be non-gameplay-affecting and applied equally.
Are all NFTs the same, or are there tiers?
All MageTCG Character NFTs carry the same utility. There are no rarity tiers, power levels, or pay-based advantages.
What happens if I miss the current wave?
You’ll need to wait for the next wave. Each wave has a fixed window and limited capacity to maintain quality.
What if my character idea isn’t approved?
Not all submissions are accepted. This helps us protect lore consistency, quality, and tone. Revisions or future submissions may be possible.
Does this replace Kickstarter rewards or other programs?
No. This is a separate, optional program and does not replace any existing rewards or access.
Will this ever become required in the future?
No. MageTCG is designed so NFTs remain optional and never required to play or enjoy the game.
Why use NFTs at all?
NFTs give us a way to provide verifiable ownership, attribution, and long-term benefits without affecting gameplay or forcing participation. It’s a tool—not the product.
Who should not buy this?
